Pet owners and their pet dogs participate in the pet blessing.

Points:
• The event was a venue for socialization of dog owners, dog enthusiasts and dogs.
• Free rabies vaccination, deworming and consultation were also conducted with information dissemination on re-sponsible pet ownership, rabies awareness and animal bite management.
• A photobooth was also available for souvenir photos of the participants.
• There were approximately 50 dogs brought to the event with a total of 20 dogs vaccinated, 15 dogs were de-wormed and 3 dogs were given vitamin supplementation.
• Some of the passers-by came back with their pet dogs for the free vaccination and deworming.
• Rev. Fr. Ambrose Monroy, a catholic priest gave blessing and prayer for the dogs. He stated that he too is a pet lov-er. He played with some of the dogs and also got a souvenir picture at the photobooth.
• The dogs and dog owners were given packs of dog food and other giveaways from the event partner – Merial, an animal health and drug company.
